i being a man think nothing of falling asleep on the sofa/couch, it is easier than going upstairs to bed, i know this doesnt help in the feelings of rejection you awake too, to find him not there next to you, it is just a bloke thing, we do it without thinking. it is not that we dont want to wake up next to our wife or girlfriend it is just down to plain lazyness, and of course how comfy the couch/sofa is.
