Yes, unfortunately, this is a very complicated piece of software where there is no "undo" button for the deletion of thousands of posts. So your request wasn't "denied," but rather may be very difficult, if not impossible, to do (well, unless I wanted to spend about 40 hours of my time trying to do it).
