I appreciate everyone taking the time to give their views.
I still come back to the original issue, that I think someone in an admin position should be known to the members reasonably well prior to their selection.
I don't know, Ben, the best psychologists I have known (and many of my friends from university have studied clinical) have a natural ability to put things across in a relaxed manner - I hope you can develop that knack.
I still pretty much hold the same stance as when I started this thread, I don't know that I will be that comfortable posting about personal stuff as I still have the feeling that it's a student gaining experience - who will end up with a reference, no less

(again ,I have no issues whatsoever with kimmy's appointment).
