Hi Indie'sOK!
I can totally relate to what you are saying and how you feel, I've felt that way many times about my own body and I'd end up feeling horrible because it would cause me to crash and burn with depression. I try to remind myself that God made me just the way He wanted me to be and I'm special...no other person is like me, I'm uniquely molded by Him like clay in His hands. You need to not only learn to like yourself but to also be able to love yourself, it's the only way I ever got any peace of mind and also inner peace. You don't judge a book by it's cover, you open it up and read the entire book...and see what all qualities it contains. If anyone won't take the time to do anything but glance at your cover, that just teaches you that they are a very shallow person and you don't need that kind anyway. Tell yourself a million times a day what you like and/or love about yourself...it can be anything at all...keep complimenting yourself until it actually starts to sink in, you truly believe it, and you know that you were beating yourself up all this time for nothing. Remember, WE are our own worst critics and most people don't think as much about any flaws we have as we do ourselves. Think positive thoughts at all times, shut out all negative thoughts and feelings, and never let them back into your mind again. Eventually you will slowly begin to actually like many things about yourself and you'll also grow to love yourself as well... inside and out. Just remember, if someone just wants to glance at the cover, not open it up and read the entire book over a period of time...that person has their priorities mixed up really bad and they are such a shallow person that all they'd care about would be themselves. I hope that this has helped you in some small way and now comes the hugs! ROFL!
Huge Huggles,
She
