I would count my lucky stars that he is gone; there is nothing wrong with you at all and I think you did the right thing. Why would you want to be in a relationship with someone who doesn't want to be in one? You've saved yourself a lot of heartache and grief and I'm being honest here if you had stayed in such a relationship he would have eventually taken advantage of you and that would have made you feel much worse.
