I guess the area that I need support is this:

I don't have adequate GPA or SAT scores to be accepted into degree programs I choose. I'm certain if I didn't have a psychiatric disability, then I would have the scores necessary.

How do I find assistance? I'm looking for the right words to say, the right questions to ask. The anxiety I feel will have me crying miserably in front of some university staff member as I ask for help.

Should it be so difficult for people with psychiatric disabilities to ask for help to obtain college degrees?
