Therealme, you work-it doesn't matter what you're doing, you're trying and taking care of yourself financially. Don't put yourself down for that. Your kids would be more ashamed of you if you weren't out making a living. I don't think they are ashamed of you though. I think you may be projecting your low self-esteem onto them. I'm sure they love you very much.

People will talk about you no matter what you do. It's just the way people are sometimes. Dying your hair every week is going to make your hair fall out. It's no good to dye it that much.
I don't know what ages your children are but I'm a grown woman and I STILL sometimes call my Mom wierd.

I think people who feel unworthy of love cannot accept love when it's given to them because they feel they are not worthy of it and are sure it's going to turn on them or it can't be sincere.
It's hard to learn to love yourself but that's where you need to start. Stop putting yourself down and start focusing more on your positive attributes. Give yourself credit where credit is due.
