I think it's a reaction that many people have? (And not just those looking at psychiatric hospitalization.)

I have real medicinal allergies ... in the past, until my MD realized the dilemma, she would arrange for me to go into hospital whenever I tried a new pain or seizure or whatever medication... to help keep me safe. So I had the fear of both being in hospital and having a reaction (which I did nearly each time.)
