Remember that she doesnt know what happened to make you come to help her granddaughter, she doesnt know what she did, and she doesnt understand. I think that she is thinking it is a fase. It is hard for any adult to admite that there in anything wrong with them or the family. They wish the best for Brittney and are scared of addmitting that something might be wrong.
