For instance, ever since the anniversary nearly 2 weeks ago, I've had some "revelations" involving the stuff recovered and the 8th birthday. Or so I think. It seems too much to be a "coincidence". But I asked my mom if I had gotten sick on my 6th or 7th birthdays, and she said she had no idea, why was I even asking such a ridiculous question? Umm..mom I don't REMEMBER, so forgive me for attempting to get some answers...
But it's not just the birthdays. I feel like I can't remember anything...like my "assumptions" about my ability to remember have been shattered. Like I always believed I remembered the most about age 6, but when I look back, I remember about 4 days of school and only flashes of being home. Don't even ask about memories before school, because I couldn't tell you what age they were.
Anyone else just wish there was some reliable way to get a timeline? To figure out what age you are in memories?
Sorry for the post, I'm just really confused....

yes it is possible to make a timeline of your life. when I first came here I noticed a huge resources thread that has a list of all kinds of books. in there theres a few books that explains how to go about making sense of your life if you are DID and how to make a time line of your life. I cant remember what the titles other than Amongst ourselves. I forget who the author is but its somewhere in the list so its pretty easy to locate.
you can also make time lines of your life by using photographs. just put them in order of possible ages then write about what you remember about the taking of those photos. the more I did that the more that came back to me.
