Rhiannon gave birth to a son Pryderi at Yule time the winter solstice being a powerful reminder that ultimately the product of death is rebirth. Hundreds of years later, in approximately 273 C.E. Christians adopted this time of Yule as Jesus' birth to overshadow and bury the Goddess.
Ultimately, Rhiannon is honoured for manifestation and granting the wishes of those who ask for what they want, though she is known to scorn those who can't or won't ask for what they want. She teaches people to ask without fear.
