Thank you for the 2 cents, LD
The holidays seem to be very depressing for me, but last night I did get a chance to talk to a friend whom is going through a hard time right now. I have known her for 26 years, and we know just about everything about each other--we grew up together and shared the same types of dysfunction with our families. I love her dearly, and it is hard to see her in so much pain. Anyway, we both made each other laugh, and I felt so much better after talking to her. We always joke about things to try to lighten each others load. That is one of the things that I am thankful for, is having a close friend that I will always hold close to my heart. I am also thankful for my family--My husband, although he gets upset when he can't fix things, he is also my very best friend, and always will be.
My beautiful children--I have a 5yr old daughter and an 11 yr old step-daughter who both bring joy to my life. Also my dogs, who are also my children, who are always by my side, and always have and ear when I am sad (and can't talk back either..haha). There are so many other things that I am thankful for, but I will not write that novel today
Thank you for all that you said, especially about trying to bring ourselves up from the depresssion. Just thinking about all of the things that I have to be thankful for really helps. I think this could answer some of fuzzybear's post on what makes us happy, too.
I am wishing you the best, too, lady. I know that you have had your fare share of depression yourself. I wish you happiness, and love as well.
Winded from my long post
