Thank you for posting. First and formost you need to get a t and let them diagnose you as they know what they are looking for and we are not able to diagnose you. I know that there are different dissociation states. Having DID is only one of the dissociation states.

I also wanted to say that there are Psychiatrist that do work with DID patients. Although it may not be alot I know for me that my psychiatrist and thereapist work together with my case manager to help me. They all work from the same treatment facility. My psychiatrist takes a very active roll in my treatment and when we have team meetings he is right there.

He has also done research concerning DID and has really helped me right a long with the rest of my team. I feel very fortunate as they are all from the same place which makes it much easier to consult with one another. They also have team meetings every week concerning each patient.

I know that for many their Psychiatrist is separate from thereapists so in that I am very fortunate. I hope you will search out a t and let them know what is going on for you. Know that we are here for you and we care. Sending you gentle hugs and loving thoughts. Always.

Thanks for this!
