I know exactly how you feel and it feels like steping off a cliff but if they feel that you are well enough to be discharged even after you talking to them about your concerns then that cliff will be steps. Maybe little ones at first but the hardest part of doing anything new and or a change (remember the first day of school) You can do it.
But make sure you let the staff or your therp know what you are feeling. I have been in the hospital several times and it doesnt get easier, I still feel the same way the last day, excited but scared.
