Internal Communication is always good! Through the years, the female portion of myself was always the One who kept me sane(?), compassionate, loving, caring and always spoke in a soft clear rational voice when things were at there worst in my life. She was the first One to take over my body in the presence of a Ph.D. I came out of a blackout, in the corner of the room in the good Dr.'s office, with a puddle of tears at my feet; the Dr. saying, "Doug, come back", and then the Dr. asked, "who was that?"; and without hesitation or knowing exactly what was going on,(at that time, I had zero education or knowledge of D.I.D.) I said "Vel". Of course Vel is short for Velvet, but that was her name and she was a very soft, kind, considerate, understanding, loving part of me, and from that point on, a GREAT internal conversationalist!!!!.....wwooohhooooo!!!!
