Yes, I think about my ex... and when he dies, I do not plan to go, unless my sons want me to ... but even then.. I might not. However, attending your father's funeral is a different story. You have to treat her like every other stranger who will be there: courteously, but owing them nothing! Most ppl are in such a state of their own, they aren't worrying about another person there.

Depression is what is so bad. I think sometimes we HAVE to withdraw and regroup ourselves. That is a safe thing to do once in a while.
