Personally, I haven't tried marijuana to help regulate my moods, no.

I can see where it may be helpful in keeping extremely negative thoughts and feelings out of a person's mind. Provided you're in good company when with others, I suppose.

I'd say that professionals are against is use for us in that we aren't dealing with everything in life. The state of mind keeps more important (stressful) issues out of our minds. Which means that we aren't really dealing with "life". We pick up tendencies to only hang out with other potheads, and escape our realities that we can't deal with.

It's an option. As you probably know, you have lots of choices. You can decide how much you are willing and able to work through problems. It is a decision. We all make millions of decisions ~ some stupid, some smart, many insignificant, etc. Something for you to think about anyway.
