I hear your frustration, Billie and I hope my post helps you directly. One thing in using DBT is to throw out any garbage or terms that you really don't understand or that your T is ramming down your throat. Just relax and 'boil' DBT down to it most simple form. For example: Recognize that we usually think with 2 minds. One is our emotions. And one is with our logic. What is easiest for me to remember is to mate emotional thinking with logical thinking and come up with WISE MIND thinking. It lets us BPDs be us. We keep our emotions but we don't use them for making every single decision. It is better to slow down step back, merge your two ways of thinking and use your wise mind. The more you do that you will get your Radical Acceptance that you have been hunting for your whole life. Once you find your Rad. Acceptance people will be drawn to you like light, you will feel peace, slowly beging to let go of the anger because you want to be in this very pleasant place of accepting yourself and others.
So to repeat: Merge your Emotional thoughts with your Logical thoughts to form Wise Thoughts and reach Radical Acceptance. That's how I handled all the jargon and silly stuff. Always keep it simple. I hope this helps.
