To answer the original question, it's actually a technical and administrative question --

"Why are there so many anonymous visitors on the site?"

One of the causes of the "anonymous" visitor is that the software Google uses to show you the most relevant ads for a particular post will actually appear as one of these "anonymous" visitors. But it's not a human, just a piece of software using a computer algorithm to try and show you a relevant ad. So many of those "anonymous" users are just this.

This question has come up so often, I wanted to put it to rest. The "Who's Online" functionality is not one something should spend a lot of time "reading into" as it's not 100% accurate and it's not put there for people to just watch...
