Personally, I think what's important first is doing something that you're passionate about, even if that means it's a job that doesn't necessarily have the highest pay. Picture somebody in a high paying job, say, a dentist...but they HATE it. Doesn't sound like a fun life, right? Even if they have money to spare, there's no passion. I'd rather sometimes be a little poor and have a job I love than have a job I hate a be a little rich.
