You both are so right. His father is currently in hospice dying of huntington's disease. His grandfather died from HD as it is hereditary and the children of someone with HD has a 50% chance of also having it. I can't imagine what this all must feel like for him. When I talk to him about it it's like he's completely cut of his emotions from the matter to cope with it. I think it's because if he aloud himself to really feel it it would break him down but he can't continue to keep pain this big bottled up. I've tried many times to convince him to see a therapist to help him work through all this. Every time he tells me he'll look into it but never actually does. It would make me so happy if he did.
