My thoughts exactly. Not focusing on her too much. Can't change her. I actually go to group at the VA to work around her. Since '91 until 3 years ago I used county mental health. Every year they did a financial update on me. Every year they would ask if I was a veteran and every year I said yes. It took them that many years for someone to say hey wait a minute, you are not qualified to get help from us. You need to go to the VA. I was in housing by then but they have to keep me in housing until I get my VA disability or some other income. I am working on that. They did come by and see where I lived. The VA housing coordinator did say that the apartment building itself did not meet the VA's standdard of safe and supportive housing. That made me feel better. It should only be a few months. I can hang until then. But I can tell you that until the county got me housing, I never lived around so many felons, I have never seen my neighbors doing hard drugs, never seen so many people who fall through the cracks.
