It's like nose and ear hair :-) it traps harmful stuff so it doesn't get in our urinary or female tracts, can help keep us moist/"protected". There's no part of us without a "purpose" or one at one time, I don't think. Yeah, it can get messy too if it's not cleaned well.

I have all my hair but can understand how shaving could help increase pleasure during sex and sexual practices. I don't care to shave that much, shave my legs maybe once a month and hate the itchiness of hair growing in, etc. Too much maintenance and not enough pleasure from it.
