I'm so sorry that she moved out. Wasn't her ex at her all the time to go back to her? She's obviously taken advantage of the situation.

Not everyone takes their pain out on others. I am in chronic pain 90% of the time when I'm awake. Luckily my nightime meds put me out these days and the insomnia because of depression (and pain), is reducing more all the time. I don't take it out on my partner; he is so loving and supportive, so helpful and caring and he does so much for me that I couldn't take it out on him. It could be personality too I don't know?

But with your gf I think that the main issue is her ex and the pain though chronic and unrelenting is a secondary issue. I wish you luck with it
