It's not "all these red names", I see for "location", "private" appears by anon's and member's names. It is not just admin and mods, etc. I have no idea, why the system does that, but I plan to find out. Till then, I wish everyone would stop thinking others are "spying" on them, and relax.
The only thing I can think off hand, and it has been said by others, is to choose "invisable" if you do not want others to see you are online or what you are reading. I hope a more exact/technical explanation will be available soon, to better assist member's question(s).
All admins and mods are "visible" in "who's online?" when they are, so any questions can be PMed to any one of them.
Hope this will help the confusion, and further prevent this false sense of insecurity here.
