I kinda know how you feel too: I was on a temporary sleep med and when I was taken off of it, I still had sleeping problems.
Right now, I take Trazodone. It's a "mood stabilizer" as well as a sleeping medication. It's really the only thing that works for me, and it's really wonderful. ^^
