Welcome luvsthebeach!
For me no, and my mom was diagnosed as well, so growing up in that household made me avoid what symptoms I saw in my mom. I have read that this can happen because people will seek out what they see in themselves in others. It can also occur when a parent was diagnosed, because this will seem like the "norm" or a comfort when someone is looking for a partner.
This wasn't the case for me because I was undiagnosed much longer than I was diagnosed (diagnosed at 31) and no one I have dated had shown any symptoms of bp.
Are you diagnosed or are you asking for someone else?
