You sure aren't alone, googley. I'm in the same boat, along with several million other Americans. Unless you're independently wealthy or living on disability, you HAVE to keep on trying. We all do. Yes, it's awful. Yes, it's degrading. Yes, where is the government now that we need them? Well, it appears there are a lot of comfortable people in this country who don't have any problems themselves and who believe that folks like you and me just don't try hard enough, work hard enough, don't take the tough and dirty jobs. So they say it's our fault. Imagine. They really say that. They really BELIEVE that. So they can support politicians who don't want to help people like you and me.
So not only do people like you and me have to keep looking for a job, we ALSO have to look out for the folks below us in the food chain, who sleep behind hedges, who get canned food at the food bank and have nothing to heat it with and have to eat it cold. If they have a can opener. And in most places they're not allowed to beg unless they want to go to jail.
If we don't help them, no one will.
Be strong. Be tough. Figure out who are the real bad guys and the real good guys. Keep looking for a job. Ultimately, you'll find one. And when you do, don't forget the folks you left behind, the ones behind the hedge or living in their cars. No. Don't ever forget them.
Take care and God bless you.
