Oh, Lauru, I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. Can you turn the tables on the impulsive behaviors and call their bluff? People who write jingles have to work to keep a jingle from taking over their thinking (song stuck in head :-) and they do that by either singing/playing the song through to its end or replacing it with another song (and thus kind of cancelling it out).
Can you think through the impulsive behavior "as if" you were going to do it, see where it would naturally go and then decide if you want to go there or not? Or can you "invent" some random, funny alternate behavior and make yourself promise to do it (or just think about it) every time you get the impulse to do what you don't want to? I would think of a mildly positive, funny, complicated behavior (putting on lipstick and kissing your image in the bathroom mirror) and make myself do that when I got the other behavior.
