I've done this for about a year now! My favorite time was when I was on a cruise. I made up about 200-300 sticky notes, and left them EVERYWHERE. On the bathroom mirrors, stuck to my napkin so the server would get it, even on the mirrored walls in the elevator. I stuck them all over.
It makes me feel good about me, and at the same time makes someone else feel good about themselves
