given what my therapist (in the post I just did and hit submit before I was done LOL) told me I can now understand how alters can have all kinds of triggers. they have the triggers from the abusive past plus they have the normal triggers that they discover when they are out in the world living life and discovering things they like and dont like or have normal reactions to.
now I understand why a lot of my alters had triggers that I did not have too. it all makes sense to me now.
