That dentist is ********ting you. The only time your teeth will shift enough to cause you a problem is if you have more than half your teeth out and then only in your 50's or thereabouts. They just are pushing for the money.

You have two reasonable options. 1: You make a claim on the army and ask to visit an army dentist. Or 2: you can have the tooth pulled and let it ache in the bucket

Personally I would choose option one first and if they don't come to the party then just get it pulled. But don't let yourself be railroaded into paying thousands for a $500 job...get another dentist or insist the one you went to, pull it out.
