Dont drink the water hehehe..oh wait that's Mexico...nevermind

I lived everywhere "except" Brazil...My favorites were Montivideo, Uruguay (A MUST to see!!!!!), Buenos Aires(though I heard it isnt so hot anymore ) and Venezuela...a definite too.l also lived in Columbia and Puerto Rico.
You should stop by Panama too while you're out n about.
I loved the history sites....like the Incan cities and the history of the Gauchos and "indians". You have to makje your way through the city street markets...its breathtaking and prices are incredible. You can stay and watch as a sunwrinkled old woman makes something specifically for you with her own hands...their work is amazing.....HAVE to get a poncho...its a must.
I love all the tradition based spanish background stuff....When do you leave? I can get an actual list and location of the "Cant miss" stuff if ya want. I think you'll love it.
It was great growing up there....so much different than the states...drugs with kids werent an issue nor alot of the violent crime here you see...gangs etc...so raising your children there was ideal. The crime was kept to the big wig adults lol...Unfortunately my dad was a hgiher up in Goodyear so kidnapping and hostage situations were always a concern there. He lost some friends sothey had very tight security for the families. But as a child I was kept from alot of that and the guards fit right in with the servants and I thought I jsut had alot of playmates lol.
Anyway I hope you find the outer areas that are truly the best over the "tourist traps" blech.
I recall not being able to cross a river once because it was so high from recent rains...we stayed on one side of it in a small two room adobe "police station" lol...They treated us tlike their own family. They are huge on family down there and especially children.
