Preferably one with a sliding fee scale? I haven't had to deal with this before, we've always been able to afford it without help (except insurance) but through my husband's newest employer the insurance apparently doesn't cover behavioral health services?? Issues we've run into when I was first diagnosed included "income in excess of available services" - they only took into account bills of living, not the amount I was spending on meds, psychiatry, etc which added up to an astronomical hit but nope, that wasn't considered.
At this time I'm on disability but only have Medicare part A, hospital coverage... my husband encouraged me to cut the cost as much as possible so foolishly we discontinued Part B and Part D coverages, now I kind of wish I had at least part B available even though I know it's difficult to find therapists who accept Medicare anyway!
I know I need a T, and that we could probably benefit greatly from couples therapy as well but financially it's next to impossible right now.
Also we lived in Washington State before where COL is much lower than here in California so even though our income is technically higher maybe I'd still qualify somehow? But I don't even know where or how to start looking.
