It is a strange thing the way a thought can suddenly "POP" into your head.

Sitting here reading, I had one of those moments.
My name is
Ruby. A ruby is a gem stone. Gemstones are cut ( not a gentle process), then polished ( alot of friction), then buffed ( a little gentler, but still creates heat), then they sparkle and shine and are put on display and esteemed as "precious".
The many facets of the gem bend the light to create a beautiful sparkle. It dances with the light and the movement of the gem. Each facet plays in important role in the sparkle. Fewer facets and you have less sparkle. Too many facets and they are too small to catch the light for the maximum effect. There is a balance.
A ruby is not a weak gemstone, not as strong as a diamond, but stronger than many gems.
I wonder what the stone REALLY feels like when people are going on about it's beauty and value? When it going through the processing?
I am a multifaceted RUBY and maybe one day I will be that finished product of beauty and value.
Was just a thought..
