Hi PizzaFish,
I have been unemployed also for 10 months, at first it is greatly relaxed, because you have time for yourself and your family. That is fine for the first couple of months. I have applied after that to many companies but always failed. Time comes that I am financially broke. My husband's income is not really sufficient for our daily needs. I am so depressed. I am graduated with flying colors but still no job offer. Thanks that I have a supported family and friends. I am revived. Then this one friend of mine informed me of average salary, working at home. This is really fun and you can work on your preferred time. I have enough time for myself and my family. No hassles going to office and alike.
I think you can ask for a small capital from your parents and start a simple business. In that way, at least, you can earn on your own.
Just think out of the box. Good Luck, you can do it!
