If you are in a relationship, does your partner know about your SI? Did you tell them or did they find out?

I've only been with my boyfriend a few weeks. The night we offically got together, we were talking about some difficulties I have and he asked if I did it and I nodded. He's brought it up a few times since, not in a nasty way, but he expects me to tell him when I do it, because I often binge drink and take drugs at the same time, and am potentialy dangerous to myself. He wants to know about the "episodes" I have. But how can I tell him that?
