My main problem is I can't get a script for it since my dr isn't seeing me until the insurance is back in effect in January.

I'm thinking I need a psychiatrist anyway. They know more about psych meds than regular doctors. In fact they know more about ALL meds! All they do now-a-days is prescribe.
