I know this is kinda late in responding to your question, but the first time i was treated for anorexia, my psychiatrist wanted me into a specific hospital.....I had NO medical coverage for that kind of thing....I was so sick & my psychiatrist was persistant with the hospital about how sick I was that they agreed to pay for 1 month of inpatient treatment.
That was with the Radar Institute for Eating Disorders.....there were overeaters, anorixics, & bulimics all together for treatment......they did cover me completely even though it didn't do any good....because I didn't want the help.
But I do think that many treatment centers have funds provided to them for situations like that where a person is in serious need of help & can't afford it & when it is between death & treatment, they can come through if there is someone pulling for you & explaining to them how serious the treatment is needed.
Hope that by now, you have found the help you need,
Debbie
