Thanks thought that is not what I was asking.

I was asking this.

HIV turns into AIDS - possibly.

If it had already turned into AIDS and I went for a test at the gum clinic would it still turn up positive.

As when you go the clinic all the results say is "HIV negative" and not "HIV/AIDS negative" which is why I wonder this.
