i use super glue, the normal type but i have learned that there are specialits glues also, used by hospitals, the only differance i have learned from 18 years of cuttings is that glue closes the wound quicker than stiches,either glue, and you dont get the dots where stiches were applied, it takes longer to heal if you make a fresh cut over old, for your own sense of safety keep a tube of the glue, readily available at most stores, at home, the only time you have to go to ER is when you cant stop the bleeding, if it gets that far call 911 or 999 in the uk, if it is minor use the glue but use a matchstich or cotton bud to apply, you dont want to stick your fingers to your arm, leg or other body part
