I'm sorry that you're going through a tough time Indie!
I'm going into sophomore year as well in seven days, not looking forward to it. What I'm really nervous about is my grades, I didn't do so well last year. I've got a short attention span and I'm scared to death of some of my teachers, plus my old school was a lot easier than the one I'm going to now. Of course, I did just great in English and Japanese, just not Math, History, or Biology.
I'm not big on shopping but what I do is watch an uncanny amount of House episodes. I have no idea how that's supposed to help, maybe it's that the show is just so much more dramatic than my life I can say "well it least it's not like
that!" My wife didn't just die, I'm not addicted to vicodin, nobody I know is in the hospital right now, and my good friend didn't just commit suicide. I remind myself that I have to be thankful for all of that, and then high school seems a whole lot better. Of course, then I go into the "damn, I wish I had a friend like Wilson!" rant. Haha.
Anyway, just remember that it's just school, and after this you have your whole life to live.

Good luck!
