If I may be so bold as to add my two cents, you aren't crazy, you aren't bad, you are ill. Any psychiatric doctor worth their salt will be non-judgmental, compassionate and actively participate in a plan to resolve that which ails you. You didn't ask for this and you didn't do anything to deserve it, anymore than someone with lymphoma. If you feel you are being judged, you can ask if the doctor is judging you. If you don't feel your problem is being addressed, ask for help with your problem. If you have questions about your condition, treatment plan, medications or therapuetic goals, ASK! PLEASE ASK! Nothing will help a doctor help a patient more than a patient that demands to be treated medically and with dignity. You are a VERY important member of your treatment team. There is no shame in seeking help.
