Ok, I know this should probably go in the smoking cessation forum...but I had to put it here. So many people with mental health issues smoke, but many (like me) won't even talk about quitting or read about quitting. It's almost impossible when you add depression into the mix.
Anyhow here's the deal, I purchased an ecig a couple weeks ago. When I first heard about this thing, I thought "what a stupid idea". But after a little research, I decided to try it. WOW, what a huge difference from using patches, pills or gum. It really works well! Grant it, I am still getting nicotine...and "pretending" to smoke, but it isn't toxic, and there's no 2nd hand smoke, and it doesn't smell...all huge pluses! And it's fine, a bit of an adjustment, but nothing like quitting. Very easy.
Just a positive shout out for depressed smokers!
