My son had not learned to swallow a pill and does not want to try.

His medication comes in a capsule and can be sprinkled. We need to see it all go in and down, not trying to trick him by mixing it into his food. We tried jam, fudge sauce and butterscotch sauce. These were OK but sometimes it spilled.

We added melatonin to the evening routine, and it must be chewed.
I bury it in about 1/2 teaspoon of Nutella.
I've also been sprinkling his morning medication on a spoon spread with a small layer of Nutella.
So, if your little person has no nut or dairy allergy, you may want to try Nutella to make the medicine go down.
