One of the first things I ask when recieving any new treatments is what are the side effects and so on, The first time I had the glue instead of stitches I was 8 months pregnant. I was told The gue that professionals use has been tested for toxic chemicals and does not absorb into the body. It drys within seconds and wears off with the normal skin daily as dust and dandruff. It would not affect my baby or me in the presernt or future for there is no way that it can "travel" to other locations and is nontoxic.
I have noticed that at times when I am anemic and or my other vitamins and minerals are off or I am dehydrated it affects the rate that I heal from bruises and cuts. I still have a dark scar on my ankle from when I cut there 2 years ago. My physician says it will never change. Its like that because at the time I cut I was dangeriously anemic and so on so the new skin cells could not grow at the rate they normally do. It is also like that because it is an area that the cut kept getting irritated from usage - putting shoes on and off, rubbing up against things when I walk and so on.
Talk with your doctor. he probably has a tube of the glue so that you can read the labels and the pamplet that comes with the package and he will better be able to answer your questions as to the glues absorbsion and side effects.
