Not real helpful of your Pdoc to say that she can't figure you out! I *hope* that she was only trying to be funny, to see if she could get you to laugh at the situation. It apparently didn't work well, if that was her plan ~ I hope that she picked up on that one!

Depakote can affect mood. I took it for my seizure disorder, and it did boost my mood a bit. Like many other AED's, depakote can be effective for some people for various emotional illnesses. I'd simply describe the extent to which your mood has changed since you began the depakote to your doctor NOW. Call them up and tell them that it's having a strong effect on your impulses. That sentence alone ought to get their attention & help in getting through ASAP.
