I love university

The best advice I have is to not take it to heart when people say 'university will be the best years of your life!' I went through a low spot in my first year, and that thought (that I was living my best years, and nothing would ever get better) was immensely depressing. But it's not even true! University doesn't have to be mega totally super awesome amazing fun all the time. Relish the academic challenges, too.

Clubs (or societies) are great places to meet people. I joined the LGBT, the writing group, the History club and something else I forgot because I hardly go to it, but I did meet people there. You will learn a lot about yourself

At my university, we say that 'there are 3 things which must be done. Working, socialising, and sleeping. But you only have time to make a good job of two.' Without too much procrastination or time on Facebook, though, it's not too hard to cram everything in properly. Always talk to your tutors or your counselling service if you are having problems with anything - even not work related, even to your tutors. They are paid to help you and most are happy to do so, because they actually do care about their students (at least in my experience).

The thing I love about university the most is being with other people who want to learn stuff.

And never say never!

Oh, and what are you studying? I'm doing English Literature ('good luck getting a job' I hear all the time, pfffftt. I have certain ambitions ;D) and love it very much.
