Personally, I wouldn't have a problem if I had a partner who just said the same thing to me. Admittedly I don't know a lot about the BDSM scene but plenty of people have 'weird' fetishes and it doesn't mean you're a freak. I think a lot more people have fetishes like this than there are willing to own up to it, because of social taboos etc. If you want to explore that kind of thing, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Don't let anyone get Freudian on you.
