Just thought it would be fun and interesting, even if discussed before.
I've seen other people do this too, and no one seems to ask why. And I can't think of any other reason for bumping a thread than to see if more replies come in. I noticed once a thread drops off the first page (in most cases), people stop responding. Once it is bumped, (in most cases), more people reply again. It revives it.
The thread was still open too, so it could still take more replies.
